Hearts Aflame Productions

HEARTS AFLAME PRODUCTIONS is a not-for-profit organisation that develops and presents a range of world class events in the northern NSW village of Tyalgum. Over the past 12 years, productions have included musical theatre, cabaret, classical music recitals, traditional and contemporary opera, dinner theatre and dance.

Staged in the historic Tyalgum Village Hall, the intimate Piano Room at Flutterbies Cottage Café and a spectacular 30-acre garden property nearby, the shows have featured Broadway artists such as Hayden Tee; Australian musical theatre stars and cabaret performers Rachael Beck, Michael Cormick and Tim Draxl; international opera stars Sofia Troncoso and Petah Chapman; and the Bell Shakespeare Company; as well as emerging Sydney-based performers and final year or recent graduates from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music in Brisbane.

Our flagship event is the annual Dance Spectacular, showcasing Australia’s champion Ballroom, Latin and New Vogue dance couples, hosted by Dancing with the Stars judge, Mark Wilson.

Since 2015, Hearts Aflame Productions has incorporated Shepherd’s Purse Theatre Company that stages immersive dinner theatre productions which, in 2022, was presented with the Gold Palm Theatre Award’s highest honour – the Platinum Palm Award for Outstanding Service to the Theatrical Community (south-east Queensland/northern NSW based).

In conjunction with these key events, Hearts Aflame has also arranged for many visiting artists to present educational workshops and masterclasses in dance, acting, musical theatre and theatre-making for local school and arts-based groups.
